Evaluations & Referrals

Manatee Palms Youth Services receives referrals from a variety of sources. Anyone can make a referral from a parent, to a teacher, to a clinician in the community. A referral consists of sending all clinical records (may include but not limited to a psychiatric evaluation with all 5 Axes/Diagnoses on it, Therapy notes, a Psychological Evaluation, School records and insurance information, etc.) to our Director of Admissions. The Director of Admissions will then review this clinical information with the Senior Leadership/Treatment Team for clinical approval.

Once clinical approval is given, the Admissions Office then works with our Business office to determine the level of coverage by the insurance company by verifying benefits. (Private Pay is an option also. You must contact the business office for more details). Once the level of coverage has been determined, pre-authorization will be sought from the insurance company and once given, the patient can then be scheduled for an admission date.
